THE BEGINNING
An idea that started with a conversation.
After watching The Social Network, a phone call with a friend became much more than an ordinary conversation for Muhammet Ali Topakkaya. As they discussed Facebook’s founding story, he had the idea that they could develop a social media platform of their own.
Initially suggested half in jest, the idea became a real project when his friend responded with the same excitement. They began thinking about everything from server costs and development to releasing the app and the challenges they might face in the future.
But it was impossible to find every answer before they had even started. Muhammet Ali decided that moving forward meant taking the first step. The rest could be figured out along the way.
Sometimes a great journey begins with nothing more than the decision to start. That is how Lunest’s story began.
