Lunest is a place to share moments and connect. These rules apply to posts, stories, comments, messages, communities, profile information, and all conduct on the platform. They are part of the Terms of Service; violations can result in content removal, warnings, suspension, or permanent bans.

Report via in-app "Report" tools or [email protected]

1. Safety — Zero Tolerance

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM): Zero tolerance. Detected content is removed immediately, the account permanently banned, and reported to NCMEC (CyberTipline) in the US and relevant authorities in Türkiye. Any conduct that sexualizes minors, solicits them, or involves inappropriate contact with them falls under this rule.
  • Violence and gore: Extreme violence, torture, animal cruelty, or imagery meant to terrify.
  • Terrorism and extremism: Terrorist propaganda, recruitment, radicalization.
  • Self-harm: Content that encourages, glorifies, or instructs suicide or self-harm. (Support-seeking and recovery content is not covered.)
  • Threats and doxxing: Threatening people with physical harm; publishing private information (address, phone, documents) without consent.

2. Respect for People

  • No harassment or bullying: Targeted degradation, stalking, singling out, organized pile-ons.
  • No hate speech: Dehumanization or calls to violence based on race, ethnicity, religion, sect, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics.
  • No sexual content: Nudity, pornography, sexual solicitation (including "sextortion"). Artistic/health contexts are evaluated case-by-case at the moderation team's discretion.
  • No non-consensual intimate imagery (NCII): Sharing someone's private/intimate images without their consent is strictly prohibited. If an image of you was shared without your consent, report it via the in-app report flow (reason: "Intimate image shared without consent") or email [email protected] — valid requests are reviewed and the content removed within 48 hours (this is our notice mechanism under the U.S. TAKE IT DOWN Act).

3. Authenticity

  • No fake accounts or impersonation: No accounts in another person's name/likeness; no celebrity or "verified" impersonation.
  • Misinformation: Deliberate disinformation capable of causing harm in areas like health, elections, or public safety.
  • No fraud: Phishing links, money/gift scams, fake investment schemes, "DM me" traps.
  • No spam or manipulation: Mass messaging, fake likes/follows, bots, poll manipulation.

4. Intellectual Property

  • Only post content you own or have the right to use. Copyright complaints are handled under our Copyright/DMCA Policy; repeat infringers are banned.
  • Don't use someone else's photo as your profile picture or post without permission.

5. Protecting Minors

  • Lunest is a 13+ platform; under-13 accounts are banned on discovery.
  • Inappropriate DM requests to minors, adults contacting minors for romantic purposes, and attempts to hide age are violations.
  • Report any suspicious content involving minors immediately.

6. Respecting Private Spaces

  • Messages are bound by these rules too. Harassment, threats, blackmail, or inappropriate content in DMs is a violation — reviewed upon the recipient's report.
  • Communities: Community owners and moderators may enforce additional rules (bans, removals); community rules may not be looser than these Guidelines.
  • "Friends" visibility and stories are not exempt zones — the same rules apply.

7. Reporting & Enforcement

  • How to report: Use the ⋯ menu on posts/stories, long-press on comments, or "Report" on a user profile; pick a reason and add details if needed. NCII and child-safety reasons are listed at the top, and a single such report hides the content immediately pending review.
  • What happens: Reports enter a human-moderated queue; repeated reports automatically hide content. Outcomes range from content removal to warnings, suspension, or permanent bans. NCII and CSAM reports are prioritized — valid NCII requests are resolved within 48 hours and CSAM is removed on detection.
  • Blocking: Block bothersome users — they cannot reach you or see your content.
  • Appeals: If you believe a decision was wrong, email [email protected]; we conduct a second review.
  • Abuse of reporting: Targeted false reporting is itself a violation.

8. Legal Cooperation

We evaluate reports of illegal activity and lawful requests from authorities, and cooperate with relevant bodies on urgent safety risks.
